What are Social Impact Days all about?
 
Social Impact Days is a biannual, two-week-long initiative by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) that shines a spotlight on the positive influence international students have on society. It aims to foster active engagement between exchange students and their local communities through various initiatives designed to create a meaningful impact.
 
This campaign builds on the legacy of previous student-driven initiatives like SocialErasmus and Social Inclusion Days, which brought together thousands of international students across Europe to connect with their host communities.
 
At ESN, we believe mobility programs don’t just transform the lives of the participants—they enrich entire communities. Social Impact Days embody ESN’s mission: “Enrichment of society through international students.” By highlighting the contributions of our sections, this campaign demonstrates how international exchanges go beyond classrooms to cultivate understanding, solidarity, and shared growth in our local environments.
 
Over these two weeks, ESN’s 500+ local sections across 40+ countries will host online and offline activities that reflect ESN’s six core values:

• Education & Youth
• Environmental Sustainability
• Health & Well-being
• Skills & Employability
• Social Inclusion
 
These events aim to expand perspectives, inspire growth, and connect communities, bridging international students with locals through solidarity, intercultural dialogue, and civic engagement.
